Description
“The Road to Inclusive Narratives” is a national digital campaign launched by YRCI Albania with the support of the Anna Lindh Foundation and co-financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA). This initiative tackles one of the most pressing issues of our time: the spread of misinformation and disinformation, especially among youth.
In an age where social media shapes perceptions, young people in Albania are constantly exposed to conflicting and misleading information—particularly concerning their health, mental well-being, and lifestyle. This project responds to that challenge by empowering youth with the tools to think critically, consume information responsibly, and share stories that promote awareness and resilience.
The campaign focuses on real, relatable stories that show the effects of health misinformation on the decisions of young people—how digital narratives have influenced their choices around diet, exercise, and mental health. Through creative storytelling formats like video diaries, infographics, and interactive social media content, we don’t just fight misinformation—we elevate voices that often go unheard.
Beyond awareness, the project builds digital citizenship by encouraging responsible online behavior, while also advocating for the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the digital space. The optional components of the campaign include deeper storytelling initiatives and strategic partnerships with local media to extend the message’s reach and impact.
By combining education, empathy, and technology, “The Road to Inclusive Narratives” is more than a campaign—it is a movement to restore trust, promote inclusion, and create a better-informed society.
