YRCI Albania, in collaboration with the Anna Lindh Foundation, successfully hosted the workshop titled "Fostering Intercultural Dialogue through Formal and Informal Education" from April 18–21, 2024, in Elbasan, Albania. This event brought together educators, youth leaders, and civil society pioneers from across the region and beyond, fostering a platform for shared learning and collaboration.
Workshop Highlights:
- Innovative Educational Methodologies: Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on modern approaches to education, emphasizing the importance of intercultural learning in today's interconnected world.
- Guidance on Mobility Opportunities: The workshop provided valuable insights and practical advice for young people interested in applying for mobility opportunities in Europe, empowering them with the knowledge needed to pursue their educational and professional goals abroad.
- Arts in Intercultural Education: Keynote Speaker Serkan Erdoğan from Turkey, a respected educator at Bakırköy Cumhuriyet Ortaokulu, highlighted the role of the arts as a powerful tool in promoting intercultural dialogue. His contributions were instrumental in demonstrating how creative expression can bridge cultural divides and foster mutual understanding.
Outcome: The workshop successfully achieved its objective of promoting intercultural dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among participants. By facilitating connections across continents and providing a space for the exchange of ideas, the event contributed to the ongoing efforts to build more inclusive and culturally aware societies.
